AUDIENCE FEEDBACK: Narrative Rushes + Performance Rough Cut

Narrative rushes:

Feedback:

  • realistic
  • Worked for the audience
  • some shots were blurry
  • didnt really make sense with graveyard
  • liked the table scene although lighting was bad
  • good continuity
  • shot of TV was shaky 
  • lighting was different for different shots
  • last take at the end was too long and shaky 
  • story makes little sense


Performance rough cut:

Feedback:

  • sometimes takes were too long 
  • costume was realistic
  • facepaint was weird
  • different shots had different lighting 
  • more enthusiasm for bassist
  • ELS was cool when they switched postition
  • costumes were good
  • singer's singing was convincing
  • liked the overlaying of the singer on top of the drumming
  • some shots of the guitar solo was a bit off
  • some syncing of singing shots were off

What needs to be changed:

  • Colour correction on all garage scenes to adjust for lighting and camera issues
  • Masking and finishing scene from 0100 to 0114
  • Cleaning up takes that are slightly off beat
  • Stabilisation of shaky clips
  • Utilise more of footage from outdoor shoot later in video

SAMPLE SCENE: Performance

What went well:

  • Quickly get many shots, cast were very cooperative 
  • Have good variety of static and dynamic shots 
Things to improve:

  • Look at the shots with a more critical eye
  • Have more shots of every single instrument on the drum kit
  • Have drummer be more precise and energetic 
  • Get go pro POV shots 
    • Especially Guitar and Bass
  • Spend more time to get a larger variety of shots 
  • Have singer be more energetic 


Reflection:

  • Re shoot and spend more time in general on every aspect 
  • Plan better to know exactly which shots to take  
Audience Feedback:

  • Have band coming in on stage and setup "behind the scenes"
  • Busking implemented in to narrative?
